Alex Moscone

Our team would like to commend Alex Moscone, as our December Employee of the Month!

Alex is our Lead Floor Cleaning Specialist. He has been here just under a year, and is already carpet, tile, and upholstery certified. In addition, Alex is also WRT Certified, and is working on being ASCS Certified for air duct cleanings.

We’ve nominated Alex because he has recently stepped out of the box to help with many of our restoration jobs. He is a team player that is always willing to lend a hand. Whether it’s a multiple story flood, a humidity bloom, or even a sewer loss – Alex is willing to help the team with no complaints.

In addition to his passion for perfection with our clients, Alex is very dedicated to upkeeping his grandfather’s garage and maintaining his cars. He also enjoys a good hockey game, Chipotle and little extra sleep wherever he can get it!

Tommy Dence

We’ve nominated our General Manager of Operations, Tommy Dence, as Employee of the Month for November! Our team was thankful for many things this past holiday season, and we were especially thankful to have someone like Tommy on our team!

Tommy has been in the industry for over 15 years, and with H2o911 Restoration since 2005. He is our most certified and licensed member of our team. Because of this, he is frequently requested at mold inspections and adjuster meetings! He is a Licensed Mold Professional, and is also WRT Certified, Radon Mitigation Certified, and Smoke Remediator Certified. In addition, he is also a Certified Radon Measurement Specialist.

In our industry, one of our busiest times of the year is right before the holidays. All of our clients want their jobs started and completed as soon as possible to ensure the work is done by the time their friends and family arrive for the holiday. This season, Tommy threw on one of his other hats, and stepped in to start and complete a mold remediation. With the help of one other technicians, Tommy wanted to make sure the job was completed before Thanksgiving as promised to the client! Our client was extremely grateful that he jumped in to lend a hand, and so were we!

When Tommy isn’t working, he’s a huge sports fan! He coached baseball for about 20 years, he mentors his two teenage sons in golf, and he is a huge Miami Dolphins fan! If you’re ever in our office on a Friday afternoon, you will find that Tommy also enjoys singing to a wide variety of music!

Tommy Dence is a great example of a team member that goes above and beyond. We are grateful to have someone with his attitude, professionalism, and experience as a part of our team!

Jody Muff

For her constant willingness to help coworkers, our team has nominated Jody Muff as October’s Employee of the Month!

Jody has been with us for about 4 years and has taken on many roles since! Her job title may be “Accounts Payable” – but she does so much more than that! Jody makes sure all our licensing is in check, she manages our carpet/tile cleaning scheduling, she coordinates necessary work with other contractors and she manages payroll. She also handles all our inner office IT issues – from getting the internet back up, to figuring out what that beeping noise is on the printer that won’t stop – she always knows how to fix it! When it comes to company events or birthdays, Jody is the organizer! She makes sure everything is covered, and that everyone feels important on their special day. Some of her other roles include (but aren’t limited to) being the company nurse, the office therapist, and the office baker! 😉 No matter what the situation is, Jody is always willing to help!

When Jody isn’t busy lending a helping hand, she enjoys attending her son’s games, getting her nails done and baking! She also has two adorable French bulldogs, named Winnie and MJ.

Our team is beyond grateful to have someone as caring and patient as Jody! We appreciate all of her help, and how gracefully she wears so many hats within our company!

Shane Morgan

We know a 5-Star employee when we see one! And that’s why our team has nominated Shane for September’s Employee of the Month!

Since joining our team a few months ago, Shane has exceeded everyone’s expectations! He has a great personality that not only works well with our team, but our customers love him as well. When we asked other team members what they like the most about Shane, they said “Shane keeps the mood light, and keeps everyone smiling when things get stressful out here in the field.” What a great teammate!

Our team can also describe Shane as eager to learn. He has a very strong desire to further his knowledge and expand his education in the field. In addition, another one of Shane’s strong points is that he is dependable, and willing to work overtime when an emergency arises. Shane has goals of growing within the company, and he is certainly on the right track!

When he isn’t busy expanding his restoration knowledge, Shane enjoys tinkering with his car. He loves exotic cars, and we’re certain with his knowledge and determination that he may own one or two one day! 😊

We are very thankful to have someone like Shane on our team, and you will certainly value his hard work as well!

Helynn Young

When it came to choosing August’s Employee of the Month – it wasn’t very hard… Joining our team about 2 months ago, Helynn has exceeded expectations since the day she started!

Management and the rest of the team didn’t take long to notice that Helynn caught on very quickly. She is not only a dedicated team player, but a great leader and role model as well! She is a self-starter, with a great attitude and always goes above and beyond what is expected of her. Her quality of work is substantial, with every job being completed to the utmost detail and expectations of the customer.

Our team can count on Helynn during a time of urgency, which is so important in our industry! Helynn had just walked in one evening from a long day at a very big job and was about to head home when another large flood came in. With no hesitation she responded, “Sure thing – what’s the address?” and headed back out! We all know that feeling of relief when we see 5 o’clock after a long a day, right? Helynn didn’t even give it a second thought!

But Helynn’s leadership skills don’t stop here – she also coaches the girl’s basketball team for Cape Coral High School! When not on call for the weekend, you can find her out on Sanibel fishing with her doggy, Gypsy. She likes to play pool at local hot spots and, like most of us, Helynn is also a serial Netflix Binger…What better way to relax?!

We’re beyond fortunate to have Helynn as part of our team and look forward to seeing her grow with our company!

Geoff Moore

When it comes to going the extra mile, we know we can count of Geoff, and that's why we've nominated him for our July employee of the month!

Geoff has been with us for almost 5 years as a Certified Mold Estimator, and our clients love him! We hear very frequently that he is polite, patient, and very knowledgeable. Having mold or water damage to your home can be very stressful, and you may have a lot of questions that arise. When Geoff is in your home, we can assure you he will complete a thorough inspection and provide you with an estimate designed to remediate your home, with your best interests in mind. We value Geoff’s work ethic greatly here in the office. He is a dedicated and loyal employee that our entire team can count on. If needed, Geoff is willing to work weekends or provide afterhours inspections for customers with a challenging work schedule.

Geoff is a United States Marine Corps Veteran and has 2 older sons. In his spare time, he likes to play golf, workout, and hangout with his rescue Mastiff, Aries. We are honored to have him as a part of our team, and value all of his hard work!

Jaime Vanegas

Meet Jaime – Jaime specializes in repairs and air duct cleaning but this month we want to recognize him for being a team player!

A client contacted us recently for exceptionally large water loss in hotel, and we needed some extra hands. With no hesitation whatsoever, Jaime hopped on board to assist the team in stabilizing the loss until the early hours of the morning! He had already had a long, and hard day – but you would never have known because he is always smiling and willing to help! Coming up on his 5-Year Anniversary with our team, there is so much to be said about Jaime! He is also well known for being dependable, consistent, and personable. Jaime works well and gets along with everyone! He is often the first one in the office, and the last one to leave…he loves to keep busy! When you ask Jaime what his favorite part about repairs is, he’s quick to respond with “Painting! I love to see the finished product! And, I love when the customer is impressed.” Jaimie is very committed to his projects, and his strong attention to detail reflects in every job he’s assigned to.

Jaime is certainly a huge asset to our team, and a great team player – literally! In his younger days, he played professional soccer in Columbia! In addition to loving soccer, he also likes to cook. In his spare time, he likes to visit his family in Miami, or go to the beach! We are honored to have Jaime as a part of our team, and we greatly appreciate his strong desire to complete every job to perfection!

Jeorge Fontanez

Meet Jeorge – our new Warehouse Supervisor and Fleet Manager! In less than a few months, he has proved himself to be quite an asset to our team!

Jeorge’s interest in mechanics started very young. While most kids his age were still playing with Tonka Trucks, he was learning basic mechanics side by side with his father and grandfather. (We’d like to say he learned from the best!) From electrical issues, to mechanical issues – he is always able to troubleshoot the issue and come out victorious!

Certified in HVAC, Jeorge has also been a great addition to our duct cleaning division! And, because he’s always willing to lend a hand, we even have him out in the field sometimes to assist with our larger tasks. For Jeorge - no job is too big, or too small. We can always count on him to take care good care of our trucks, from changing breaks and routers, to providing oil changes – he’s even assisted a staff member in his spare time with her personal vehicle! “Jeorge was able to diagnose the problem with my car’s sensor, which saved me a lot of money! He even went out of the way to call later that evening and make sure I made it home with no issues.” – Maria, CFO.

If you run into Jeorge out in the warehouse, you will quickly learn that he is always smiling! (And that he loves music, and is a fabulous singer!) During his time here, he has brought our warehouse to the next level with his organization skills and ability to find a solution to every problem he counters. When he isn’t busy being a team player or problem solving, Jeorge is a proud father of 4! You can find him in his off-time adventuring with his children! From kayaking, to fishing – he loves spending time outdoors!

For all of this and more, we’ve given the honor of Employee of the Month to Jeorge… Feel honored if you see him on your job site, because we’re honored to have him on our team!

Fred Maddox

"What drives you to go above and beyond on every job here at Dryzone??"

There are many roles here at Dryzone, the most important of all these roles, “is to have great customer relations with all of our clients". From my eyes to every job it always starts with the passion I have for the job and all field operations in general.  I take in account the concern of the customer on every one of our jobs and every one of these concerns are different.  Whether it's a fire, water, mold,  bio-hazard, wind and repairs. These concerns vary from homeowner to homeowner so you have to listen to them.    I approach every job like it's my last and only job. I set my goals with a high expectations, urgency and drive to provide the best product that's on this earth, most important leave that customer with a smile on their face. Second in my goals is to be self-motivated and dedicated to the entire task in hand.  To exceed the expectations of that job on completion.  It's a personal reward knowing that it's a job well done. Some people may call it having a big head but I don't. I call it the love for the job in what you do.

In this business it's better to work for referrals than advertising but they both play a different part in this industry, so it's imperative that every Job is your best job. I want to share this story on a recent job.  On the initial call, Dryzone was dispatched to a home on Marco Island that was completely flooded throughout. Pergo laminate flooring was completely floating in the home.

I met with the home watch person on site since the homeowner was out of town at his home up north.  Pulling into the driveway I noticed that water was running out of the garage and then I noticed the source of the water. The hot water tank was spraying water at the ceiling of the garage. It's hard to understand how a hot water tank in the garage would flood and entire home. The expansion tank or air bladder on this particular tank completely broke off and the three-quarter inch pipe that feeds it from the main water supply at the top of the tank, had sprayed water through the ceiling in the garage into the attic and into the home.

Oh did I mention the home was vacant at the time?  There's no way of determining how much water was in the home or how much water was released from the actual pipe. What I can tell you is that it took me and 2 other techs 4 to 5 hours to extract the water from inside the home.  After talking with the homeowner he was very impressed, on the knowledge and  information that I was able to share with him on how we could safely salvage his drywall in the home and guarantee that his home would be bone dry once my dry out was complete; and also free of any microbial growth. I also mentioned to this homeowner we offer a complete repair service an as well as showrooms to his availability.  We met with the insurance adjuster and got everything approved for this loss.

After the dry out was done our customer was so impressed he decided to let Dryzone do the repairs and bring his home to a pre loss condition, if not better!

By now our customer was coming down to his home in Marco with all his family, including his wife, 3 daughters and 11 grandkids!!  We need it to accommodate this big crew in a home that was under construction with no kitchen or laundry!  There was no kitchen sink, no countertops, and no laundry wash tub.  This all was removed during the initial flood and only the base cabinets were installed in the kitchen.

I took initiative and purchased and installed a temporary in-cabinet laundry tub sink.  So that the Mrs. didn’t have to do the dishes in the bathtub!

I installed it in the laundry room and then I re assured  this homeowner that from this point forward everything is going to be OK. In completing this small task it worked out in my favor and I gained the trust and respect back from the homeowner.

This job is still active, should be wrapped up in the next few days. I'm so happy we could make a difference!
